Spawnbreezie | The Power of Prayer

First we pray

Kansas City native Spawnbreezie has been inspired by music since childhood, learning to play drums and the piano before even entering grade school. He is of Samoan Descent and combines island music, roots reggae, and hip-hop. Born and bred in Independence, Missouri, U.S.A. A recent Facebook post, highlights the wisdom and humility of well known artist Spawnbreezie.

In this video titled
"Prayer is a mans greatest power. . . #GiveThanks #Pregame #Spawnbreezie #JayebEnt"
he is seen huddled in prayer prior to going on stage for a performance. It is unknown where the video was taken, but the point remains on the artists humbled mentality. In case anyone was wondering what fuels an artist like Spawnbreezie to get on stage and to perform his music for his fans, well, it looks like the picture is very clear.

Though we do not follow every step of our most favorite artists, acts like these give us just about everything that we need to know. Thank you Spawnbreezie for the wisdom and knowledge, and thank you for being an inspiration to the Skrypt.

Youngn Lipz | Up and coming artist

Bridging the gap

Some may ask who is Youngn Lipz. So from Sydney's south west, Youngn Lipz is a young rapper of Pacific Islander descent with the pipes to back his urban trap flow. He was recently mentioned in an article by The Industry Observer quoting
"...artists coming up in the local hip hop communities, like Youngn Lipz are starting to pick up international traction."
The article was published May 18, 2020, just five days after his most recent music video release to YouTube called Neverland. If you didn't know, The Industry Observer is based in New York. It was founded in January 2017 by Seventh Street Media, Australia’s largest music media publisher with Tone Deaf, The Brag, Don’t Bore Us and J Play under its umbrella.

There's no question that they have their eyes and ears on Youngn Lipz, which should be a spark for this Artist's career to keep pushing forward. We here at Official Skrypt expect that Youngn Lipz will continue to bring that fire and hunger to his music. Whatever it is he's doing, just keep on doing it Uso.

Pacific Islands Coronavirus and music

With all the isolation going on around the Pacific Islands due to the Coronavirus, it's good to have a positive mindset physically, mentally, and spiritually. Music has been that tick to our mental clocks, keeping us productive throughout our lives. Official Skrypt has decided to publish a post that will hopefully guide you in making the right choices during these trying times. This is not the time for dreams to be put on hold, and definitely not the time to be irrational about the simple and difficult things in life.

Remember that we all still have the choice to do the right thing, today. It brings Official Skrypt much gratitude to know there is no greater gift for all people, than the gift to choose the path our lives will go. So we want to do our part in spreading #positivevibes throughout our network and abroad. Hope is great, but faith is much greater.

ONEFOUR and Rolling Stones Magazines

OneFour is facing an uphill battle to break out into main stream media. The article below by Rolling Stone Australia explains how there is some sort of issue with OneFour and the police in this country.

The group is said to be receiving a lot of harassment by police because of the lyrics in their music; limiting their global exposure by using common tactics to get venues to cancel shows, and also enforcing certain rules and policies, making other shows unprofitable. Experience leads Official Skrypt to believe that this spotlight may have turned on when the group decided to be positively proactive in making a living. The hunger for life and leaving criminal pasts behind just doesn't sit well with some people. Now the spotlight is on the country of Australia on how they will manage this. We honestly began feeling the negative vibes while reading the article published by Rolling Stone Australia, and wish OneFour and everyone involved, the best.

It is clear now why OneFour hasn't received maximum exposure allotted to them since being in the music game. What's unclear is the true reason they are receiving so much harassment? How can OneFour overcome this common loop hole without things getting blown out of proportion? How can police manage this situation without being policed? There is more to this story that meets the eye, maybe infidelity, envy or even plain hate. Who knows it could anything.

Building the Bridge

OneFour of Australia collaborates with American rapper A$AP Ferg from New York, and will have something out the kitchen in a second. You already know Official Skrypt got eyes and ears on this awaiting the new slap to be released. Here's a message for all you other rappers coming up; if you're seriously in this rap game, just know these two groups of artists aren't playing around when it comes to setting the bar for the next generation. Mark this as a proud moment for island rap artists, especially the group OneFour. They have been through a lot recently with the judicial system, and may finally get the space they need to be sufficient.

Waitangi Day 2020 with Sammy J and Aaradhna

Because two of my favorite music artists Sammy J and Aaradhna were performing, I wanted to do a bit of research on the annual Waitangi Day celebration. After a bit of research, I've come up on a few facts about this day. Please have a read and let me know on it's accuracy.

"On 28 October 1835, at the home of British Resident James Busby in Waitangi, 34 northern chiefs signed He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni (known in English as the Declaration of Independence of the United Tribes of New Zealand)." -nzhistory.govt.nz

Basically, what the treaty says is that Maori's will have authority over their own land and economy. That they will be the protectors of foreigners who enter their shores for trade (to-live) and ask that The Crown be the parent State and protector over all of New Zealand. A copy of this Treaty was sent to the King of England to say thank you, and among all things, for acknowledging New Zealand’s first official flag. The flag of the United Tribes. -Official Skrypt

"The Treaty of Waitangi is New Zealand’s foundation document. On February 6, 1840, the treaty was signed by representatives of the British Crown and Māori chiefs who acted on behalf of their hapū (sub-tribes)." -nzhistory.govt.nz

The Treaty of Waitangi has a Māori version called Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an English version called Treaty of Waitangi. Five years later after signing He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga of 1835 where New Zealand kept its' authority over its own land and people, in 1840 Māori chiefs signed the The Treaty of Waitangi and officially surrendered the sovereignty of New Zealand to the British Crown, which is the argument today. -Official Skrypt

"Te Tiriti speaks of the chiefs maintaining their tino rangatiratanga (authority) over their taonga (all that they hold precious, including the Māori language). The chiefs allow the Queen to have kāwanatanga, a nominal and delegated authority so that she can control her people. On the other hand, the treaty in English tells us that the chiefs ceded their sovereignty to the crown while retaining full, exclusive and undisturbed possession over their lands, estates, forests and fisheries." -theconversation.com

For all my readers of The Skrypt, this is what's called unfinished business between The Crown and New Zealand. So when you're out their this coming weekend to celebrate Waitangi Day 2020, just remember that the battle has only begun about New Zealand truly being a sovereign state today, based off of all the treaties that have been signed. -Official Skrypt

If you want to continue the timeline and read more on the fight for New Zealand's sovereignty, here at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Waitangi_Act_1975 would be a great place to pick up from.
